He worked for Burroughs Corp (now Unisys) for 22 years before opening Salinas Valley Computers in 1980. He retired in 1994.
Ed is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evonne McKinney; three children, David McKinney and his wife Cindy of Cameron Park, CA, Sharon Willis and her husband Peter of Prunedale, CA, and Katheryn Cameron of Prunedale, CA, He also had 10 grandchildren: David's sons William and Edward; Sharon's children Joshua, Daniel, Sarah, Hailey, Coleton, Kamryn, and Ethan; and Kathy's son Christopher. Along with his great-granddaughter Faith Kauffman.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017, 3:00pm at Northminster Presbyterian Church 315 E Alvin Dr. Salinas, CA. 93906.
In lieu of flowers, Ed loved the railroad and the family would ask that donations be made in his name to the Pacific Locomotive Association of Sunol, CA.
