July 29, 1922 - December 27, 2017
Resided in Studio City, California
He was preceded in death by his dear wife of 63 years, Lula, and his loving daughter Susan.
A graduate of Santa Cruz High School and Hartnell College, Bob joined the Navy and was stationed in San Diego. He and Lula settled in Salinas, California, where they raised their twin daughters and where he worked at the Salinas Dental Lab for over 30 years.
Bob loved collecting and working on cars, playing the piano, taking photographs, watching movies and spending time with his family. He was also an avid reader who loved scouring thrift stores for books to add to his collection. He always lent a helping hand to anyone who needed it, expecting nothing in return.
He is especially remembered for his positive outlook on life, his fun sense of humor, his enjoyment of each and every day, and his kindness. We will miss his joyful presence in our lives and we are grateful that he has filled our hearts with so many fond memories.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Sally and Alf Clausen, grandson, Josh Taron (Amy) and great-grandsons, Skylar and Clyde, granddaughter, Emily (Brett) Norensberg and great-grandson, Grey, granddaughter, Laura Raastad (Andrew) and great-grandsons, Connor and Brody.
A Celebration of his life will be held 11:00a.m. Friday, March 23, 2018 at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis Street, Salinas, CA. 93901.
