Martin Medellin was born and raised in Salinas California. He attend Salinas high school we’re he played football for the Salinas high cowboys. After he graduated high school Martin decided to serve his county and join the United States Marine Corp. Martin served for four years in the Marine Corp. as a field radio communications. While in the Marines he welcomed his only son Vincente into the world.

After his honorable discharge from the Marines Martin return back to Salinas were he served his community as a youth and high school football coach. Martin helped shape the youth of Salinas through lessons of hard work and dedication not just on the field but in school and life. Martin showed his players that in life you must work hard and be dedicated to achieve your dreams.

Martin was a man of God and was involved with preaching the word of God. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his son Vincente, daughter-in-law Veronica and his three grandchildren Marlene, Anthony and Andrew in Southern California. Martin was a big Niner fan and enjoys watching his team every Sunday. He loved BBQing with his friend and family. Martin was a kind, loving, friendly and funny man he alway knew what to say to help people with their struggles and knew how to make someone smile in their darkest hour.

Martin will be greatly missed by his family, friend, fellow Marines and players. He is survived by his Son Vincente, daughter-in-law Veronica, grandchildren Marlene, Anthony, Andrew, his sister Margret and three brothers, John, Bobby and Cornelio. Although Martin may no longer be on earth he is here in spirit watching over us and will forever be in our hearts.

Visitation will be held 3:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, October 16, 2020 at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis Street, Salinas, Ca. 93901.
