To all who have known her, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who enjoyed spending time with her sons and grandchildren, socializing with family and friends and caring for her dog Rosie, who was her loyal companion.
She worked hard her entire life and took great pride in being able to do so. She retired from Nestle's and then continued to work at Hartnell College for 22 years until her recent illness. She enjoyed watching movies, sewing, walking her dog and going to family gatherings. She was a vibrant person filled with lots of spunk and personality and will be missed tremendously by all. She was born in Casa Grande, Arizona.
She is survived by her sons, Steven Soratos, Jr. and Michael Soratos; five (5) grandchildren: Angel Cruz, Brandon Soratos, Olivia Soratos, Gisela Hileman and Ethan Soratos; five (5) sisters: Angie Hidalgo of Bakersfield, Shirley Soratos of Salinas, Sylvia Robertson of Washington, Paula Duque-Dove of Indiana, Carol Duque of Salinas: one (1) brother: Phillip Valdez of Salinas and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dominador S. Duque and mother, Lorenza E. Duque.
Celebration of Linda's Life will be held in Salinas at the American Legion on Laurel Drive on February 9, 2019 from 3pm-8pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
