Keith “Gabbie” Allen Bowker, 65, passed away on June 26, 2017. He was born in Oakland, CA and was a lifelong resident of Salinas.
Keith was a man of many talents who was self-employed for more than 37 years. He was a restorationist who restored homes and classic cars, specializing in trucks and woodies, as well as unique woodworking projects. He was also a poet with two published books to his name - “Gabbie the Poet, Vol. 1” and “Gabbie the Poet, Vol. 2”.
Keith was a member of the Native Sons of the Golden West for 25 years. When his children were young, he volunteered with the Colts and Broncos teams in the Pop Warner football league.
Keith joins his father, Irving Allen Bowker, and his brother, Robert Franklin Bowker, in Heaven.
Keith is survived by his partner Andrea Campbell of Salinas; two children Samantha Harmon (Kyle) and Keith Bowker II of Salinas; his three grandchildren Wells Harmon, Brad Campbell, and Madi Rae Campbell; his mother Nancy Bowker of Salinas; his three sisters Carolyn Bowker of Cupertino, Marilyn Dorman (Mark) and June Cornell (Darryl) of Salinas; Thomas Campbell (Karen) and Tami Campbell of Salinas.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 7th, 10:30 am, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1071 Pajaro Street, Salinas, CA. 93901.
A reception BBQ will be held at Native Sons of the Golden West Parlor, 76 W Alisal St, Salinas, CA 93901
