After graduating from high school, Frank attended the Naval Prep Academy for two years. Upon his return from the Academy, he attended Hartnell College and then transferred to the University of Santa Barbara where he graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish. Soon after he graduated, he began his teaching career at Palma High School then moved on to teach at his al a mater North Salinas High School where he had been teaching for the past fourteen years. Frank had a passion for teaching, and was a great mentor to his students. Frank’s other passion was coaching young athletes. He began his coaching career in 1991, and had been coaching football at North Salinas High for the past fourteen years. Through his teaching and coaching, Frank was able to make an impact on the lives of many students and athletes. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, students, and colleagues.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Sylvia B. Meza, maternal grandparents, Roy Blanco Sr., Delfina Blanco, his paternal grandparents, Frank G. Meza, Mary C. Meza, his aunt, Zolia Gallegos (Hector).
He is survived by his father, Frank J. Meza, his aunts, Elosia B. Siaz (Ray), Yolanda B. Arredondo (Joe), Mary Lou (Fernando) Artelejo, Isabel Meza, Alice (Albert) Neverette, and his uncles, Roy Blanco Jr. (Gloria), Joey Meza, and numerous cousins.
Rosary will be held at 7:00p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis Street, Salinas, CA. 93901.
Graveside Service will be held 11:00a.m. Friday, December 7, 2018 at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA. 93907.
