After a courageous and quiet battle with Parkinson’s, Connie Whiting Larronde, 84, died peacefully on March 20, 2018 at Sunrise/Villa Serrra, Salinas. Connie was born in Springville, Utah, the fifth child of a family of four older brothers and one younger sister. In 1954, she married the love of her life, Al Larronde. They met in Bishop, CA and eloped in Reno, Nevada. A resident of Salinas for 50 years, Connie was an active member of St Joseph’s Church in Spreckels, and a very supportive parent of Sacred Heart, Palma and Notre Dame, where her children attended school.

A founding member of Chamisal Tennis Club, Connie enjoyed playing tennis with her husband and their many friends. She was a dedicated wife, mother, homemaker and proud and supportive grandmother, cheering her grandchildren on in their many sporting activities.

Connie is survived by her children, Terri Larronde, Cathy Larronde Joest, Larry Larronde (Mary), Pam Clifford (John); her sister, Annette Holden of La Jara, Colorado and 9 grandchildren.
